Jacobs & Xu has announced that Professor Wenjia Wang has joined the business as Chief AI Adviser, strengthening its AI capability across the construction and property sectors.

Professor Wang’s appointment supports the company’s next phase of growth as demand continues to rise for practical AI, intelligent automation and better data-led decision-making across the industry.
Professor Wang is Chair Professor of Artificial Intelligence in the School of Computing Sciences at the University of East Anglia. He brings more than 25 years of experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, natural language processing and applied data science. He has published around 100 peer-reviewed papers and led more than 20 funded projects supported by UK Research and Innovation councils, Innovate UK, industry and charitable organisations.
His experience spans healthcare, cyber security, insurance, environmental science, transport and construction. He has also served as an associate scientific adviser to Innovate UK and The Alan Turing Institute BridgeAI Programme.
